Ciudad Victoria

Ciudad
Victoria is the capital city of Tamaulipas state. It has about a quarter
million inhabitants, but in the city center where I was staying, it
felt very much like a small town. There's a pleasant little park with
a gazebo where bands play, and you can sit among the tmanicured hedges
and watch the world go by. There aren't a lot of fascinating tourist
attractions to see, but it was a nice place to relax for an evening
in between Monterrey and Tampico.
I don't think they see a lot of American tourists in this
city, because as I walked down the street I was greeted with much honking
of horns and shouts of "guero" (Blondie).
