I was born in DePere, Wisconsin, a small city just outside of Green Bay. I showed an interest in art at a very young age, and I've been at it ever since.

I studied art at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in graphic design. I have worked as a professional graphic designer for over twelve years, for a wide variety of employers: art museums, book publishers, a printing company, an ad agency. I am currently looking for freelance graphic design work. My specialty is the design of books, book jackets, and book covers. In addition to my commercial design work, I also do paintings, drawings, and prints. I am always interested in opportunities to show my work, and I welcome any contact by those interested in my art. To see my work and find out more about my art, visit the Art Gallery section of this site.

Outside the realm of art and design, my interests include fitness, hiking, birdwatching, foreign languages, and travel. In the Travels section of this site, you will find photographs and information about the places I have traveled, and how they have contributed to my art.

I am also an amateur genealogist. I am in the process of researching my family history, and I have posted my findings in the Genealogy section of this site.
